RUGER!!!

Yes, we are crazy!!! We have met our HOA dog limit in our household. This is RUGER!!! Yes, named after Ethan's first 22 rifle!!! Ethan has been a mission for two years for a small, best friend. Ruger is simply adorable!!! He is a Yorkie and so darn cute! He weighs a whole 2.7 lbs. and is 11 weeks old. He is doing better than he was Wednesday. He wouldn't eat or drink and didn't want to play. So, I loaded him up and took him to the doggie ER. He spent the night and still wouldn't eat or drink so Thursday, we had our first vet appointment. The vet kept him there for the day. He had low blood sugar and had to have an IV and glucose shots. Ethan and I brought him home Thursday night with strict instructions. Plenty of rest, force feeding-ugh!! and medicine. Who would have thought a little guy could cost so much? Friday night, WOW, what a different dog. He was running around, barking, and eating, with a few minutes of me wrestling with the force feed tube. He decided that it was better to eat from the bowl then fighting me. He loves him little "TAXI" (crate). And really likes his puppy treats. He especially likes Shadow's food. So, we have to watch to see when she is done eating then Ruger goes and munches a few kibbles.

Sawyer and Spencer's Confirmation Day!

Sawyer and Spencer were confirmed on Sunday, March 25, 2007 at White's Chapel Methodist Church in Southlake, TX. We, as a family, joined the church. There were about 50 confirmed at this service. We celebrated by going with another family, the Torrey's, to Shogun Habachi. The boys, the Torrey's have three boys too, ordered Shirley Temple drinks, Ebo, water because he doesn't like cherry anything, and were entertained by the Habachi chef. Great show, great food, great company. The boys received new Bibles and are very proud that they are confirmed.

Way Too Long!!!

Goodness~time has been flying by! I haven't been good about keeping this updated. So, where to begin......last post was of Eric's wedding. What a blast!!! Holidays came and went. Boys were sad that we didn't roadtrip up to ND. I don't think Bear and I would could have handled another 17 hour trip a month apart. There are so many movies you can watch in one trip.
As you can see in the picture, we have serious hunters in the family. Sawyer and Spencer got their first bucks!!! Ethan fired off a few shots but like he said, "I am only 8."

January was definitely freezing for us. We even had a few dustings of snow and of course, a snow day, on my BIRTHDAY!!! The boys schemed with the neighor and surprised me with streamers, balloons, an ice cream cake and laughs!!! What memories!!!

Basketball just wrapped up and Sawyer and Spencer's team came in 2nd place in the end of season tourney. It was a very difficult week. We received word that the boys' head coach son, also their assistant coach, was killed in a car accident. It really hit home for the boys that someone so close is gone. I had the hardest time at the funeral. When you are a mom, boy, you just feel for them. We all do. And on top of that, Spencer's bike, that he saved for, was stolen from a friend's house that he was at. We filed a report with the police and even made the Keller Citizen in police reports. Received a call Saturday from his friend that he had found the bike!!!! Spencer was right over the next morning to get it. It was dirty, had a flat front tire, and some scratches. But he was so happy to get it back.

Baseball now has geared up. S&S had tournament last weekend. We didn't fair well. But with a new team, just need to get the mojo going. Ethan had his first baseball practice last night.

Spring Break is next week. So happens that I also have Spring Break, too!!! The boys keep asking what are we going to do? Catch up is what I have in mind, especially with time change this weekend.

Uncle Eric Gets Married!!!!

November 4th, 2006, my brother, Eric, got married to the most spirited, loving and beautiful young chic, Nichol, in Watertown, SD.

Sawyer and Spencer were ushers and Spencer played his trumphet as Nichol walked in. Barry and Ethan were groomsmen and I was a bridesmaid.

We had a wonderful time. And as always, the time went by too fast but we will treasure it forever. For those of you that were at the wedding, we so enjoyed our visits, short or long, or just seeing you. It is hard being so far away but it makes our time together more precious. It may be hard on some to see us leave but it is even harder for us since we are the ones leaving. We LOVE you all very much!!!

We are so blessed to have Nichol in our family and we absolutely adore her!!! She is now Auntie Nichol!!!
